Anthony Levine was born in Abbeville, Louisiana. He attended R.J. Reynolds High in Winston Salem, North Carolina and was a two sport athlete in football and track and field. Track was perhaps Anthony Levine's first love. He ran the 100, 200, 4x100 and 4x200 and his best sports memory was when his R.J. Reynolds High School team swept the state championships. On the football squad for R.J. Reynolds, Anthony Levine played wide receiver and linebacker. As a receiver he was an all-state athlete. As a linebacker, Anthony Levine was named to the North Carolina High School All-Star Team. During his time as a wide receiver, Anthony Levine racked up all-conference honors as well.
Anthony Levine enrolled at Tennessee State and joined the Tennessee Tigers football and track teams while majoring in psychology. He saw playing time in 2006 as a true freshman, recording 26 tackles--12 of which were individual. As a sophomore in 2007, Anthony Levine had 5 starts and played in 8 games. And as a junior, Anthony Levine competed in all 12 games with 8 starts. He ended that year with 34 tackles (2 were for loss), five passes defensed and 1 fumble recovery.
Anthony Levine's senior year saw him start all 12 games. He ended the season with 48 tackles, 32 of which were solo, including two tackles for loss.
Anthony Levine graduated in 2010 from Tennessee and participated in the Green Bay Packers rookie camp. He was signed in May 2010 as a non-drafted free agent.
