Busari Raji, jr. “B.J.” was born on July 1, 1986 in Washington Township, New Jersey. B.J. Raji’s football career got off to an early and successful start. Playing four years for Westwood Regional High School on both the offensive and defensive lines B.J. Raji earned several honors throughout his high school career including All-County, All-Conference, All-State awards and was selected to play in the 2004 Governors Bowl, a game between the top high school seniors from New Jersey and New York. Rivals.com considered him a two-star recruit and although he entertained offers from both Rutgers and Wisconsin he ultimately went to Boston College to play NCAA Division-I football.

B.J. Raji was a Boston College rarity making the Eagles football roster as a true freshman. He finished his first season playing Tim Bulman and posting 13 tackles including one for loss. Most importantly, B.J. Raji took his freshman season with the Boston College Eagles to establish his place on the team. During his second season, B.J. Raji started 12 games and posted 27 tackles , 6.5 tackles for lost and 1.5 sacks. In the 2006 season, B.J. Raji continued to step up his performance. He started in all 12 games of the season, finishing the season with 63 tackles and in the Meineke Car Care Bowl against Navy he three solo tackles including 2 for loss. B.J. Raji missed the 2007 season for academic reasons but returned to the Boston College Eagles roster in 2008 and was on one of the most competitive starting defenses in the league.

In the 2009 NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers franchise selected B.J. Raji ninth overall in the draft, making B.J. Raji the Green Bay Packers third Top-10 draft pick in the last 17 years.

In 2010, Raji was put on the starting lineup at nose tackle after an ankle injury set him back in the previous season. BJ Raji continued his starting streak for all 16 games. After being a strong force for the Packers on their way to the Super Bowl XLV championship, BJ Raji was ranked #81 on NFL Network's Top 100 Greatest Players of 2011.
