Team Member Information
Daniel “Danny” Delray Lansanah was born August 28, 1985 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Danny Lansanah started his football career at Harrisburg High School where he played both linebacker and tight end. He was a three year varsity letter winner in both football and basketball but decided to pursue his football career after high school.
The University of Connecticut Huskies recruited Danny Lansanah to play for them. He sat out the 2003 football season with a freshman redshirt. In 2004 when he made his debut in NCAA football he made it clear he was ready for large scale football. He played in 11 of 12 games on the special teams and as a backup linebacker. In the 2005 season, Danny Lansanah got a chance to prove he could handle a starting position. He stepped into the weak side linebacker position, starting 10 of 11 games missing only one because of a stinger. In his junior season at the University of Connecticut Danny Lansanah started in all 12 games and led the Huskies with 99 tackles. As a senior in the 2007 season, Danny Lansanah was named team captain and he upped his tackling and set a career high of 121 tackles for the season. He also helped lead the Huskies to their first ever Big East Championship, helping him have a competitive edge to step into professional football.
Danny Lansanah was signed to the Green Bay Packers as a non-drafted free agent May 2, 2008. He spent the preseason and the first 5 weeks of the regular season on the Green Bay Packers practice squad before being signed to the 53-man roster in October. He played in 5 games his first season with the Packers and recorded two special teams tackles
