Devin Gene Frischknecht was born in Gunnison, Utah. Devin Frischknecht started his football career at Manti (Utah) High School where he played not only football but also baseball, basketball and track. Devin Frishchknecht’s calling was football though and he started on his high school football team as a wide receiver. As a senior, Devin Frischknecht was named Second-Team All-State after his 2004 senior season.
Devin Gene Frischknecht left high school to attend Snow College where he saw lots of playing time in the Snow College football program. As a freshman he spent his time on the special teams. His sophomore year at Snow College, Devin Frischknecht switched to tight end and caught 54 passes for 763 yards and 9 touchdowns. After two years at a junior college, Devin Frischknecht transferred to Washington State University to play for the WSU Cougars. Despite joining the WSU football program late in the game, Devin Frischknecht became a regular contributor to the program and played in 22 games of 2 seasons and started 8. He posted 35 catches for 412 yards as a Cougar and scored 4 touchdowns. During the 2008 season Devin Frischknecht made a career long 53-yard touchdown reception against Portland State in the September 20th game and pulled in the team’s longest pass of the season.
Devin Frischknecht graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Psychology and was signed by the Green Bay Packers June 16th 2009 as a non-drafted free agent. Devin Frischknecht is looking forward to being a part of the Green Bay Packers roster this season!
