Jarrett Lee Bush was born on May 21st 1984 in Vacaville, California. An all around athlete, Jarrett Bush has competed in wrestling, track and football at one point in his life. Although he was the two-time section champion in 110 and 300 meter hurdles, Jarrett Bush decided to pursue his football career above everything else. At Will C Wood High School in Vacaville, California Jarrett Bush was a three time letterman who earned All-League and All-County honors at wide receiver and defensive back.

After his high school graduation, Jarrett Bush went to American River Junior College. As a freshman he earned All-League status as a wide receiver and return specialist. As a returning sophomore, Jarrett Bush played cornerback a position that he excelled in, earning All-State, All-Region, and All-League honors. In 2004, Jarrett Bush transferred to Utah State where he played in all 11 games of his junior season, recording 20 tackles and 1 interception and starting twice. In his senior 2005 football season, Jarrett Bush recorded 50 tackles and was named 2005 All-Western Athletic Conference, with 13 pass break ups he was ranked 6th in the NCAA in that category.

In 2006, Jarrett Bush was signed to the Carolina Panthers as a non-drafted free agent but was waived and then subsequently claimed by the Green Bay Packers the very next day. Jarrett Bush played in all 16 games of the pro-football rookie season and pulled down 13 tackles on the special teams, tying him for 3rd on the team. In the 2007 season, Jarrett Bush played as the Green Bay Packers primary nickel back playing in 14 games plus 2 play off games. He recorded 28 tackles, 8 pass defenses and 11 special teams tackles.

The 2008 Green Bay Packers season was a highly successful season for Jarrett Bush who played in every game and was ranked 2nd on the team for special team tackles with a career high of 17 throughout the season. During Super Bowl XLV, Jarrett Bush took over the cornerback position after Charles Woodson suffered a broken collar bone. Bush proved to be a strong addition to the offensive line and helped the Packers win their first Super Bowl in 14 seasons.
