Josh James Sitton was born June 6, 1986 in Pensacola, Florida. Josh Sitton has been an athlete since high school, when he played both basketball and football. He attended Pensacola Catholic High School and was a four year letter winner and a three year starter for the varsity football team. He was named Second Team All-State and First Team All-Area his senior year and pulled down 50 tackles including 6 sacks his last season with Pensacola Catholic.

After high school Josh Sitton went to the University of Central Florida where he began playing football right away. In his freshman season, Josh Sitton played in all 11 games, starting 4 at Right Guard. His sophomore year, Josh Sitton moved from lineman to starting lineman and became an instrumental part of the team. Josh started all 13 games in the 2005 season and graded out as one of the top lineman on the team. In 2006, Josh Sitton again was a starting lineman for all of Central Florida’s football games and helped open holes that led UCF to one of its best offensive years to date. As a senior in 2007, Josh Sitton started all 14 games that season and was named first team All-Conference after helping the UCF Knights go to their first Conference Championship in school history.

Josh Sitton entered the 2008 NFL draft with high prospects and was drafted with their second 4th round pick becoming one of the highest drafted lineman for UCF ever. In his rookie season on the Green Bay Packers roster, Josh Sitton saw game time in 11 match-ups starting 2. He had to sit out the beginning of the season due to a knee injury that he incurred in preseason play. He battled back however and saw the field primarily for extra points and field goals.
