Patrick Darnel Williams was born in 1986 in Dallas, Texas. Currently when he is not in Green Bay to be with the Green Bay Packers he lives in DeSoto, Texas. Patrick Williams was a natural athlete playing football and running track for DeSoto High School. As a track star he ran several events and won the state championship in 2004 for the 4x200 relay. As a football player he was a two year captain and three year letterman. His versatility made him the team MVP and in his high school career he played a total of 6 positions.
After high school he went to the University of Colorado to play football. He was a 4 year letter winner at CU and played in over 50 games. As a true freshman he played in 2 games but broke bones in both hands and was granted a medical redshirt. As a returning sophomore, he played in all 13 games of the Buffaloes season and made 28 catches for 241 yards. As a junior, Patrick Williams played in all 13 games again, this time starting 5. Patrick made 29 catches for 294 yards. In his last season at CU, Patrick Williams had his best statistical season making 30 catches for 322 yards and 2 touchdowns, all of which were career records. After his last season, Patrick Williams was only one of nine players that made over 100 catches for over 1,000 yards. In December 2008, Patrick Williams graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.A. in sociology.
