Tom Crabtree originally was signed to the Kansas City Chiefs but was cut after preseason. The Green Bay Packers picked him up and then signed him to a reserve contract in January 2010. The Packers gave Crabtree the opportunity to play in both regular season goals and in Super Bowl XLV.

Back in college at Miami-Ohio, Tom Crabtree lettered all four seasons. Tom Crabtree was also a three-year starter as a tight end. Over the course of his career, Tom Crabtree played in 48 games with 29 starts. He made 40 catches totaling 329 yards and two touchdowns. Tom Crabtree also did well as a special teams player and had 38 special teams tackles.

Earlier, Tom Crabtree played for the Bloom-Carroll High School team and received second-team all-state honors.
