Anthony “Tony” Gene Moll was born August 23rd 1983 in Sonoma, California. A two way athlete, Tony Moll also is a talented baseball player and at one point was being scouted as a potential recruit for the Atlanta Braves as a pitcher. Tony Moll got his athletic start in high school where he played football and baseball at Sonoma Valley High School. He was named First Team All-League for his playing time at both defensive end and tight end.
Tony Moll spent the 2001 season not playing, after taking a redshirt as a true freshman at Nevada-Reno so that he could be eligible for his last four years with the Wolf Pack. In his college debut, Tony Moll played in 8 games only missing one due to illness. In his second season with the Nevada-Reno Wolf Pack, Tony Moll started in all 11 games after switching to tight end. In his new position he caught 5 passes for 2 touchdowns. As a junior he again played in all of the Wolf Pack games as a back-up tight end, though he did start when the coaches played 2 tight ends on the field. In 2005, Tony Moll’s senior season, the Nevada coaches threw another curve ball and put Tony in at right tackle, the first season he had played on the offensive line. Tony rose to the challenge and started every game of the season and being named All-WAC.
In the 2006 NFL draft, Tony Moll was selected as a free agency compensatory pick by the Green Bay Packers, he was the 2nd, 5th round pick by the Packers. Although he was not even invited to the combine, he ended up being the rookie to watch and in his first season with the Green Bay Packers, Tony Moll played in 16 games with 10 starts. In the 2007 season, he played in 9 games with 3 starts at right guard and was selected to play in both postseason games.
In the 2008 season, Tony Moll played in 14 games with 5 starts. 3 of his starts were at Right Guard and the other 2 were at Right Tackle.
